Substance Abuse Counseling in Louisville Ky - Dave Harmon & Associates
Alcohol and drug dependency are terminal illnesses. The illness can be arrested and recovery may occur on the physical, emotional, psychological, interpersonal, and spiritual levels. Self-help programs (AA, NA, ALANON, NARANON, Alateen, Alatot) are MOST OFTEN essential to the process of recovery.
Upon enrollment in our substance abuse counseling program, each client is evaluated and a treatment plan is developed with the clients participation. The plan may include Outpatient Education, Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, Family therapy, or participation in our Intensive Outpatient Program from 2-6 day weekly. Services such as detoxification, residential care, or half-way houses are provided through our referral network.
Out-patient withdrawal services may be arranged through our office with our network of local physicians. In addition, our physicians are available to assist you in craving management, medication initiation, medication monitoring, general medical needs, pharmacotherapy, nicotine withdrawal, weight loss, and other concerns.
OUTPATIENT DRUG & ALCOHOL TREATMENT
Our intensive outpatient drug treatment offers the opportunity for the entire family to treat chemical dependency and codependency together. This is usually done without disruption to our work and family life. Our IOP Program is designed for people who experience problems with alcohol and/or other drugs but do not need hospitalization. Both the chemical abuser/dependent person and the family obtain treatment together while practicing new recovery skills in their work and home environments
The substance abuse counseling program focuses on chemical dependency, education, relapse prevention planning, counseling, relapse prevention, use of self-help groups, and aftercare planning. Please see the list of available treatment activities under services available.
Our IOP lasts 2 to 10 weeks, from 2.5 hours to 4 hours daily, from 1 to 4 times weekly, and up to 6 days weekly depending on individual needs.
The need for Inpatient treatment of various types are met through networking with other agencies.
